 who doesn\\\'t know about chocolate? almost everyone in this world know about it. in addition to good taste, chocolate has a shape diverse. intrigued by how made? well, let me explain.

fermentation of cocoa is a process manufacture of cocoa beans into chocolate with the help of yeast.

 

first of all, the cocoa cut out from the tree and sliced open it manually. fruit seeds surrounded by fruit juice discarded. the fruit seed are then fermentated to reduce the bitter taste and giving a brown color. then, the fruit seeds are be dried by sunlight or artificial techniques.hmm,,, after that they are screened and cleeaned. the fruit seeds are roasted with temperature between 2000F until 3000F for several minutes.and their bark are peeled. then stage is first milling to change fruid seeds become particle of chocolate and then mixing materials. second milling to produce liquid. finally, after milling, the chocolate is tempering to regulate the temperature of chocolate so that chocolate can result in taste and texture that can be durable.

siapa yang tidak tahu coklat?  hampir semua orang di dunia inimengenal coklat. selain rasa yang enak, coklat memiliki bentuk yang beragam. penasaran dengan cara pembuatannya?fermentasi kakao adalah suatu proses pembuatan biji kakao menjadi coklat dengan bantuan ragi.

 

buah kakao dipotong dari pohonnya dan diiris terbuka secara manual. biji buah yang di kelilingi oleh sari buah dibuang.biji buah kemudian difermentasi untuk mengurangi rasa pahit dan memberi warna coklat. kemudian biji buah dikeringkan dengan sinar matahari atau dengan teknik buatan. hmm...setelah itu mereka disaring dan dibersihkan. biji buah dipanggang dengan suhu 200 f sampai 300 f selama beberapa menit dan kulitnya dikupas. langkah berikutnya adalah penggilinganpertama untuk mengubah biji buah menjadi butiran coklat dan mencampurkan bahan-bahan. penggilingan kedua untuk membuat cairan. akhirnya, setelah penggilingan adalah tempering untuk mengatur suhu coklat sehingga coklat dapat menghasilkan cita rasa dan tekstur yang dapat tahan lama.

Tolong jelaskan aturan pemakaian WHOM,WHO,WHOSE,WHICH, & THAT (adjective clause) dlm kalimat? . Trmksh 

Syifa, saya beri contoh penggunaan adjective clause sbb:

1. The girl whom I met this morning is my favourite teacher. ( 'whom' digunakan untuk menjelaskan orang dan diikuti dengan orang lain, jadi dalam satu kalimat terdapat lebih dari satu person).

2.The boy who is reading a newspaper looks so serious. ('who' digunakan untuk menjelaskan orang dan diikuti dengan kata kerja).

3. The woman whose a new car lives in front of my house.  ('whose' digunakan untuk menyatakan kepemilikan).

4. The temple which is being renovated spends a lot of money.  ('which' digunakan untuk menjelaskan benda atau binatang)

5. 'that' bisa digunakan untuk menggantikan 'who' dan  'which'.

Long, long time ago a rabbit and a lion were neighbours. The lion was very proud, and was fond of boasting about his strength. And though they were such close neighbours, the lion looked down upon the rabbit, and used to bully and frighten her. Finally, the rabbit could stand it no longer and wanted to get her own back.
One day she went to the lion and said, “Good day, respected elder brother. Imagine it, I met an animal over there who looked exactly like you, and he said to me,Is there anyone in the world who dares stand up to me/ if there is, let him come and have a duel with me. If there is no one, all of you have to submit to my rule and be my servants!” “Oh, he was an intolerable braggart! He is so puffed up with pride that his eyes can’t even light on anyone!” added the rabbit.
“Oho,” the lion said. “Didn’t you mention me to him?”
“Yes, indeed,” the rabbit replied. “but it would have been better if I hadn’t. When I described how strong you were, he just sneered and said dreadfully rude things. He even went so far as to say that he wouldn’t take you for his attendant!”
The lion flew into a rage and roared, “Where is he? Where is he?”
So the rabbit took the lion behind a hill and, not going too near herself, pointed to a deep well from a distance, and said, “He is down there, in the well.”
The lion hastened to the well and glared angrily into it. Yes there as his rival who even glared back at him angrily. The lion roared, and his enemy roared back. The lion became so furious that his hair stood on end. So did his enemy’s in the well. The lion showed his teeth and lashed out with his paws to scare his rival and his enemy in the well retaliated! In a fit of anger the lion sprang into the air with all his might and then flung himself at the enemy in the well. The result was that the proud lion was instantly drowned.

Do you know how paper is made? Well, people make paper from trees. First, they cut down the trees that make good paper, and then they transport the logs to the factory. At the factory, they wash the logs to rinse away the dirt and other impurities. After that, the logs are put into machines to make small wood chips and then process these chips into pulp.

This pulping process is to separate the wood fibers. This is important, because different kinds of paper need different kinds of fiber. So, that is why they have different techniques of pulping too. The pulp looks like a mushy and watery solution, but if you look at it with a microscope you can see the individual fibers. All have been separated.

When you get this, you are ready to make a paper. You do it by removing the water because 90% of the solution is water. To remove the water, they spray the soup on a long wide screen. They call this wire. And then the water runs to the bottom of the wire, and fibers are caught on the top side of the wire. Here, the fibers bond together and then make a thin mat, the fiber mat. Then people squeeze this mat with rollers to remove more water. After this pressing, the mat still contains water. It is about 60% of it.

Now the mat is ready to go to drying process. The mat, then, has to go through some rollers, sometimes a dozen of them. These hot rollers seal the fibers closer and closer, and eventually turn the mat into paper.

To make paper with the same thickness, people use a paper machine. It is called the calendar. This machine has big iron rollers that press and dry paper smooth with the same thickness. From here, you can do everything else. You can coat it with fine day to make it glossier or easier to print on, and so on. That is why paper comes n different sizes, thickness, and appearance.

Aditya, thanks for your question. Infinitive merupakan kata kerja yang belum mengalami penambahan, eg. close, stop, learn, etc. Bentuk infinitive digunakan setelah kata kerja tertentu:

 

 


- forget, help, learn, teach, train
- choose, expect, hope, need, offer, want, would like
- agree, encourage, pretend, promise
- allow, can/can't afford, decide, manage, mean, refuse

  • I forgot to close the window.
  • Mary needs to leave early.
  • Why are they encouraged to learn English?
  • We can't afford to take a long holiday.
Bentuk infinitive selalu digunakan setelah adjectives (kata sifat), eg:

- disappointed, glad, happy, pleased, relieved, sad, surprised

  • I was happy to help them.
  • She will be delighted to see you.

1. Expressed repetition

Doni : Hi Tom, long time no see. Where have you been?

Tomy: Yeah, I've just returned from my hometown.

Doni : Oh really? How long?

Tomy: Yes, it was for a week. And you know what, I met Luna Maya there.

Doni: I beg your pardon me, what did you say?

Tomy: I said  I met Luna Maya there.

Doni  : Wouw..that's wonderfu!! 

Repetition adalah pengulangan. Kalimat yang digaris bawah (di atas) menunjukkan ungkapan meminta pengulangan. Maka respon yang diharapkan adalah mengulang informasi seperti sebelumnya.

Contoh percakapan lain sebagai berikut ini:

            Fina      : Turn on the channel 7.

Dude    : Pardon?

Fina      : Mount Merapi erupted again yesterday evening! Watch the news on television?

Dude    : What did you say? I can’t hear your voice!

Fina      : It’s better not to turn your radio out loud.

Dude    : Sorry. You said about Mount Merapi.

Fina      : Yes. Let’s listen to the news about its eruption.

Dude    : Oh God!

 

Ungkapan yang dicetak tebal mengungkapkan permintaan pengulangan / repetition.

 

2.Expressing concern

Sita      : Oh my God, I made some mistakes in doing the test. I’m afraid I’ll get bad score in math.

Nia       : Don’t worry mate, you’ll be successful. You’ve tried your best, haven’t you?

Sita      : Hopefully. Thanks for your support.          

 

Ungkapan yang digaris bawah menunjukkan perhatian pada Sita. Biasanya ungkapan semacam ini untuk menunjukkan rasa empati, solidaritas, pengertian pada lawan bicara.

3.Expressing admiration

Drian    : New hair style, huh?

Pungki  : Yeach. What do you think?

Drian    : What a funky style!! You look really different.

Pungki  : Thank you.

 

Ungkapan yang digarisbawah menunjukkan kekaguman pada sesuatu. Contoh ungkapan lain misalnya:

  • What strong boys they are!
