mas, saya mau tanya,,,biasanya alasan mengapa mengapa orang mengangkat suatu pembahasan tentang noun suffix itu apa yaaa,,????ato tujuan mengapa memabhas hal tersebut bagusnya apa?

makasih

Thanks for your question. good luck

The Blonde and the Lawyer

A blonde and a lawyer are seated next to each other on a flight from LA to NY. The lawyer asks if she would like to play a fun game.
The blonde, tired, just wants to take a nap, politely declines and rolls over to the window to catch a few winks.
The lawyer persists and explains that the game is easy and a lot of fun.
He explains, “I ask you a question, and if you don’t know the answer, you pay me $5.00, and vise versa.”
Again, she declines and tries to get some sleep. The lawyer, now agitated, says, “Okay, if you don’t know the answer you pay me $5.00, and if I don’t know the answer, I will pay you $500.00.”
This catches the blonde’s attention and, figuring there will be no end to this torment unless she plays, agrees to the game. The lawyer asks the first question. “What’s the distance from the earth to the moon?” The blonde doesn’t say a word, reaches into her purse, pulls out a $5.00 bill and hands it to the lawyer. “Okay” says the lawyer, “your turn.”
She asks the lawyer, “What goes up a hill with three legs and comes down with four legs?” The lawyer, puzzled, takes out his laptop computer and searches all his references, no answer. He taps into the air phone with his modem and searches the net and the library of congress, no answer. Frustrated, he sends e-mails to all his friends and coworkers, to no avail. After an hour, he wakes the blonde, and hands her $500.00.
The blonde says, “Thank you”, and turns back to get some more sleep.
The lawyer, who is more than a little miffed, wakes the blonde and asks, “Well, what’s the answer?” Without a word, the blonde reaches into her purse, hands the lawyer $5.00, and goes back to sleep.

It happened on Sunday morning a few days ago. When I was about to have my routine cup of coffee along with a bagel, I realized that I did not have any bread at all. I have to admit that I am unable to enjoy coffee without some kind of baked goods.
Then I decided to run out to buy something, but all the stores were closed, but one. That store did not have any fresh pastries, and I ended up buying four slices of wheat bread. I was frustrated for two reasons: firstly, I couldn’t enjoy drinking my coffee on Sunday morning; and secondly, the sales woman charged me $3.00 for four slices of bread!
Next, I returned to the building where I live on the tenth floor, stepped into the elevator, pushed the button, and got out. When I reached my apartment and tried to unlock the door, I could not turn the key. I made a few attempts without success. I started banging on the door hoping to wake up my daughter. I was not successful at that either.
I can’t explain how it crossed my mind to check the number of the apartment. The apartment number was correct, except for the first digit: the apartment was on the ninth floor, but the tenth. I was shocked to realize that I had been banging on somebody else’s door.

Is there any city in Europe, or else, like Prague? There has been a city here for over a thousand years, and now 2.250.000 people live here. It is most famous for its Gothic and Baroque building styles. Old Town Square, with its wonderful clock, the Charles Bridge, and Prague Castle on the hill above the river are just a few of Prague’s famous attractions.

Getting around Prague is easy by tram or underground train but it’s also a pedestrian’s dream because much of the old quarter and many of the streets and lanes have little or no traffic. The medieval center is Prague castle and St Vitus Cathedral. An evening view of these illuminated landmarks is one of the most memorable sights in Europe. Wenceslas Square is in the heart of modern Prague.

Visiting Prague today, you immediately notice the lively atmosphere. The city can be crowded during the hot summer months, but it is delight to visit any time of the year, even in the snowy cold of winter. In fact, tourism makes the largest contribution to Prague’s economy. Classical concerts take place all through the year, though the biggest event is the Prague Spring International Music Festival in May and early June. Theatre also has a special place in the life of the city.

The suburbs are like many in Eastern Europe with tall sky crappers and some light industry, but you are very quickly in the sleepy villages and gentle hills of Bohemia. Many people say Prague reminds them of Vienna or Budapest. But in fact, Prague is unique. There’s nowhere quite like it.

1.Let’s Make City Clean and Fresh

A clean and fresh city will surely make the inhabitants healthy. Every morning especially in dry season, all roads must be watered with clean water and swept by the workers of the regional government under the Major’s instruction.
To keep the people from heavy pollution caused by cars, trucks and motorcycles, enough trees must be planted along all roads. Every building or house in the city must be surrounded short and small trees which bear colorful flower.
Bad and improper habits which cause disadvantages, bad smell and dangerous diseases to people such as smoking and throwing rubbish anywhere should be stopped at once.
The major of each city will have to think over the way how to educate people, so that they realize on how important cleanliness and health are for their own sake. Building more public lavatories at every busy place is very badly needed.
It will be wise if the Major decides a certain amount of fine to be paid by those who disobey the government regulation on cleanliness matter. A man who urinate not at lavatory, smoke not at smoking room or throw rubbish at the roads should be fined for instance. Besides dirtying the environment with cigarettes’ butts, smoking will also cause pollution and lungs disease to other people.
So bad habits and impolite attitude should be immediately stopped, otherwise the city will be dirty, unhealthy badly polluted and will never attract foreign or domestic tourist

2. Removing Lead from Petrol; a hortatory exposition text

google_ad_client = "pub-2469363919568696"; google_ad_host = "pub-1556223355139109"; google_ad_host_channel="00000+00329+00074"; /* learning English text */ google_ad_slot = "6777244785"; google_ad_width = 250; google_ad_height = 250; //--> google_protectAndRun("ads_core.google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad); In all the discussion over the removal of lead from petrol (and the atmosphere) there doesn't seem to have been any mention of the difference between driving in the city and the country.
While I realize my leaded petrol car is polluting the air wherever I drive, I feel that when you travel through the country, where you only see the another car every five to ten minutes, the problem is not as severe as when traffic is concentrated on city roads.
Those who want to penalize older, leaded petrol vehicles and their owners don't seem to appreciate that, in the country, there is no public transport to fall back upon and one's own vehicle is the only way to get about.
I feel that the country people, who often have to travel huge distances to the nearest town and who already spend a great deal of money on petrol, should be treated differently to the people who live in the city.

3. NEVER TRY SMOKING

They know it is bad for them and all, but it is just something they want to try. So they ask one of their smoker friends for a cigarette. Admittedly, they firstly can not light it on their own so they ask his friend to do it. Then they inhale that cigarette and smoke occasionally.

Apparently that makes them the born smokers. Now they do smoke fairly regularly. They can not avoid smoking and they enjoy too. They have smoker friends. Everyday they bring a pack in their pocket. For them, a pack of cigarette is as important as a wallet for their money.

Suddenly, for certain reason, they realize the fact that tobacco is the cause of a long list of nasty diseases. It is not only heart disease, stroke, and chronic lung disease but also bladder, lung, and pancreatic cancer. Even it was reported that around 400,000 Americans died each year. It was one every 80 seconds from tobacco-related illnesses.

Then they decide it is stupid to harm selves. They want to quit smoking. Unfortunately, they find that quitting smoking is so difficult. “Why can't I stop smoking? I really want to stop it”. It is hard to quit because nicotine is powerfully addictive. Cigarette is one of the most efficient drug-delivery devices ever devised. As result, when people try to quit smoking, they often experience classic nicotine withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, irritability, headache, depression, and restlessness.

Well, still want to try smoke? Think the facts before trying! If you are not smoker, you should never and never try to smoke.

Dear Vicka, It's important to be able to find the main idea in a paragraph. The main idea tells what the paragraph is mostly about. All of the other sentences are details that tell more about the main idea. Sometimes the title or subtitle tells the main idea. Other times, the first or last sentence in the passage tell the main idea. Sometimes the main idea is not written explicitly but rather suggested. It can also be expressed in two sentences.

now please try and I will corrert it later.

apa perbedaan penggunaan interrogative pronoun dan questiuon words?

 Interrogative Pronoun:

For example:

  • What is her phone number?
  • What do you want?
  • Interrogative pronouns are: What, Which, Who, Whose, Whom. In addition, these pronouns may take the suffixes -ever and -soever.

    Forms:
As we can see in the next table, these pronouns could act as a subject, object or possessive in a sentence.

    Subject Object Possessive
    who whom whose
    which
    that

WHAT can be used to ask about objects or people.
    For example:

    • What time is it?
    • What is your name?
    • What do you want?

WHICH can be used to ask about objects or people.
    For example:

    • Which chair are you talking about?
    • Which jumper do you like?
    • Which is your mother?

WHO can be used to ask about people
    For example:

    • Who are you?
    • Which is your mother?
    • Who has been sitting in my chair?

WHOSE can be used to ask about a possession relation.
    For example:

    • Whose is this book?
    • Whose car did you drive here?

WHOM can be used to ask about people. It is less usual and more formal than "who"
    For example:

    • Whom did you phone?
    • For whom will you vote?

NOTE: Either "which" or "what" can also be used as an interrogative adjective, and that "who," "whom," or "which" can also be used as a relative pronoun.

    For example:

    • The man whom she chose will do a wonderful job.
    Examples
    • Who is in charge?
    • Which wants to see the dentist first?
    • Who wrote the novel Rockbound?
    • Whom do you think we should invite?
    • What did she say?

Question words sama dengan interrogative pronoun; where, who, when, what, why, whose, which, dan how.

     Example: Where do you live?

                    What are you doing?

Thanks for your question. I hope the above explanation is clear enough. Good luck.

Saddam Hussein was born April 28 1937 in Al-Awja near the Iraqi town Tikriti in a tribal shepherd’s family. Saddam, which means "he who confronts” was from a very poor family. He had one older brother who was died when he was 13 years old because of cancer. Saddam never saw his father Abid al- Majid. Some accounts say that Saddam Hussein’s father died before Saddam was born, other simply say that he deserted the family. His mother, Subha Tulfa al- mussallat remarried to Ibrahim al-Hassan which is a man who was illiterate, immoral, and brutal. Saddam hated living with his stepfather because he was physically and psychologically abusive to young Saddam, forcing him to steal for him from his neighbor to steal eggs and chicken so his family could eat and refusing to allow him to go to school. His uncle Khairullah Tulfah (his mother's brother) is an Iraqi army officer and crusader for Arab unity and he was in prison because of …

Saddam Hussein was illiterate until the age of ten. He heard that his cousin could read and write and demanded that he be afforded the same opportunity. As he was learning to read, the ten-year-old moved to Baghdad with his uncle who has been released from prison. At the age of 16 years Saddam had become the head of street gangs. By 19, Saddam was politically active, supporting Arab unity and joining the socialist Ba'ath Party.

Three years later, he participated in an assassination to against Iraqi Prime Minister General Abdel-Karim Qassem. Unfortunately it was failed and Saddam was shot in the leg during the attempt. He was forced to leave the country for several years, first he moved to Syria and then to Egypt. In Egypt he studied the law, earning a degree from the University of Cairo's law school. Saddam has been married to the Same Woman, former school teacher Sajida, since 1958. She has been described as a first cousin, not unusual for Mideast Marriages of That era. They have five children, three Daughters and two sons.

Saddam returned to Baghdad in 1963 but he was captured and imprisoned from 1963 to 1967 along with other Ba'thists. Saddam rose in the ranks of the party's international, pan-Arab leadership. He was appointed to the leadership of the National Command of the party in 1965 while still in prison, and became deputy secretary-general of the Iraqi Regional Command in September 1966. Saddam helped carry out the final Ba'thist coup of July 17, 1968.

Beginning in the mid-1970s, Bakr who was the president of Iraq from 1968 was got a disease and have a serious family tragedies problem. At 1977 the party bureaus, the intelligence mechanisms, and even ministers who, according to the Provisional Constitution, should have reported to Bakr, reported to Saddam Hussein because the president has a serious injury. Saddam Hussein, meanwhile, was less inclined to share power, and he viewed the cabinet and the RCC as rubber stamps. On July 16, 1979, President Bakr resigned, and Saddam Hussein officially replaced him as president of the republic, secretary general of the Baath Party Regional Command, chairman of the RCC, and commander in chief of the armed forces. On July 17, 1979, he was promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. In the era of Saddam, Iraq faces two major wars: the Iraq-Iran War (1980-1988) and occupation of Kuwait (1990), which resulted in the birth of the Gulf War in 1991

Iran-Iraq war started since 22 September 1980. The war was happen because Iraq wanted to control some regions in Iran. During the eight-year war that Iran-Iraq war, the Iranian nation has tens of thousands of citizens lost their lives, suffered hundreds of billions of dollars in material damages, and lagging development experience over the years. During the war, Saddam also used chemical weapons and bombs that caused the death of tens of thousands of people. But with the compactness of the Iranian people, then they can defeat Iraq and establish their own state.

In 1990 Saddam had economic problems because of the war with
Iran for eight years and he has spent too much money for that. So Saddam started attacking Kuwait in order to conquer the oil fields in the country. In Saddam's war has killed approximately 1,000 residents of Kuwait. Fortunately Kuwait received help from the USA. Iraq, which at that time was weak due to failed war with Iran, could not occupy Kuwait country. On February 27, 1991 Coalition forces succeeded in liberating Kuwait and President Bush declared the war over and US declared that Kuwait Liberated.

    The entire world changed on
September 11,2001. Two commercial airplanes slammed into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. More than 3,000 people were killed. The United States began looking for those responsible. One of their first suspects was Saddam Hussein.

The trail of the terrorists was soon traced to Saudi exile Osama bin Landen,a radical muslim.

For now it appeared that Iraq was not directly involved in the September 11 attacks on America. Hussein however did little to distance himself from the actions of the terrorist. The Iraqi government proclaimed Osama bin Landen as the “Man of the Year 2001” for his devotion to Islam and his defiance of the United States. The united nation was suspicious enough to demand access to Iraq again. To date there has been no evidence found linking Saddam Hussein with Landen Al Qaeda organization.

President Bush widened his war on terror to include Iraq, he demanded that Saddam Hussein allow inspectors back into the country.

On March 17,2003 president bush gave Hussein and his sons 48 hours to leave Iraq or face war. Saddam remained defiant.

He threaded to take the war. After the deadline passed, missiles lit up the sky off the coast off Iraq, which meant that the war had begun.

After 3 weeks fight, coalition forces entered the walls of Baghdad. The dominoes of Hussein's regime began to fall. Saddam Hussein was nowhere to be found as Iraqi citizens reclaimed the streets. He was last spotted on April 8.

On the morning of July 22 coalition forces caught up with Uday and Qusay died in a gun battle on 22 July 2003 against the US military

Saddam Hussein was captured by forces from the 4th Infantry Division, Coalition forces and special operations forces, at approximately 8 pm local time on December 13, 2003, in a remote farm house near Tikrit, Iraq.

The execution of Saddam Hussein took place on December 30, 2006. He was sentenced to death by hanging, after being found guilty and convicted of crimes against humanity by the Iraqi Special Tribunal for the murder of 140 Iraqi Shi'ite in the town of Dujail in 1982, in retaliation for an assassination attempt against him "

Saddam Hussein was president of Iraq from July 16, 1979 Until April 9, 2003, he was deposed Pals During the 2003 invasion of Iraq by the US-led Allied Coalition. After his capture in ad-Dawr, near his hometown Tikrit, he was incarcerated at Camp Cropper. On November 5, 2006, he was sentenced to death by hanging.

On December 30, 2006, he was taken to the Prison to Be Executed. The Iraqi government released an official videotape of his execution, showing him "being led to the Gallows, and ending after his head was ins the hangman's Noose. The International public controversy arose an unauthorized Pals Cell phone recording of the hanging showed him "falling through the trap door of the Gallows. The unprofessional and undignified atmosphere of the execution drew criticism from nations around the world that both oppose and support capital punishment.

In my opinion Saddam Hussein was guilty due to the continued genocide, invasion and suppression he killed so many people and it was just for his regime. He did the crime against humanity. Although Saddam accelerated the country’s ride to a fast growing economy and espoused policies of secular leadership and modernization, he has also gained international notoriety for torturing and murdering thousands of his own people, he was unquestionably one of the most brutal dictators of the 20th century. There are many theories for him committing these crimes. Like some people do some crimes jus wanting to satisfy themselves or they have peer pressure, they are greedy, they need something so they robber or murder, they have addiction or mental illness, they had a very sad childhood so they have shadows in their mind and more.

Saddam’s atrocities may be because of his sad childhood. He had a similar childhood to Hitler and Stakin, both of whom had vicious, drunkard fathers and worshipping mothers. When he was very young his natural father died and his mother remarried. Saddam was wanted neither by his natural father, nor by his stepfather and his family was very poor. They lived in a mud brick house which they shared with a few animals. His rise from obscurity was made possible through his uncle. Perhaps he couldn’t get anything when he was a kid, so he wanted to be strong enough to control the whole country. He wanted to be powerful and do everything. He was a violent to others because he was treated violently when he was a child.

However, whatever happened to him in reality he will remain a malign presence in the country for generations to come. So much ferocity, determination, anger and courage cannot be easily being dissipated.

what is the problem faced by the teacher n students in teaching n learning speaking n give the solutions in detail.

I think some English  teachers have the same problem during speaking class. Some students do not want to speak in English. They feel shy or do not have self confidence. They often speak their mother tongue and they are afraid with their pronunciation. Therefore the teachers should encourage them to speak. Before the speaking class the teacher sshould prepare good plan/material/media. The teachers should have a good strategy in order to ask them to speak. And of course the teacher should pronounce well.

Thanks for your question. Good luck.
