Rido, biasanya soal-soal rumpang menyediakan pilihan antara lain penggunaan derivative (economics, economize, economical, economically, etc) , conjunction (however, therefore, in addition, moreover, etc), tenses (present tense, past tense dalam bentuk aktif maupun pasif), relative pronoun (which, who yang diganti dengan verb ing untuk active atau verb 3 untuk padsive), penggunaan kosa kata. Untuk penggunaaan derivative kita harus tahu apakah rumpang tersebut memerlukan noun, adjective, kata kerja atau adverb.
