What is a Kangaroo?

A kangaroo is an animal found only n Australia, although is has a small relative, called a wallaby, which lives on the Australian  island in Tasmania and also in New Guinea.

Kangaroo eat grass and plants. They have short front legs, but very long and very strong back legs and tail. These are that they use for sitting up and for jumping. Kangaroos have been known to make forward jumps of over eights meters, and leap across fences more that three meters high. The can also run at speeds over 45 kilometers per hour.

The largest kangaroos are the Great Gray Kangaroo and the Red Kangaroo. Adults grow length of 1.60 meter and weigh over 80 kilos.

Kangaroos are marsupial. This means that the female kangaroo has an external pouch on the front of her body. A baby kangaroo is very tiny when it is born, and it crawls at once into pouch where it spends its first five months of life.

tolong ya ? contoh kalimat : expresing necessity and complication gmna sih? thanks sebelumnya .

 Expressing necessity:

These words express necessity or obligation. They usually indicate that someone else has imposed conditions on us. For example:

I have to take out the garbage. (It’s something I must do now. My mother told me to do it.)
I am expected to take out the garbage. (It’s a regular responsibility, a daily chore that my parents have given me.)

A related expression is be supposed to.

I am supposed to clean my room. (I’m required to do it.)

In the negative, these expressions have different meanings. For example:

I don’t have to go to the dance this weekend. (There is no obligation. I can choose to go or not.)
I’m not expected to go to the dance this weekend. (There is no expectation. People will be surprised if I do go.)
I’m not supposed to go to the dance this weekend. (I’m prohibited from going. It would probably be rude for me to go.)

 Complication:

Past simple

* I lost my calculator, but then I found it again.
* Mary fixed my computer, but now it's broken once more.
* You didn't eat very much? Didn't you like it? (spoken on the phone
to your friend on the day following the meal)
* Did you finish the crossword? I thought it was very hard today.

Complication: When we focus on the cause or origin of the past event, we
use the past simple even if there is a clear connection to the present.
For example: Although we say Look at this beautiful picture that little
Sam has drawn! (present perfect), it has to be Who drew this beautiful
picture? (past simple). Talking to a child who has just broken a cup,
you might say Now look what you have done! (present perfect) but it
would be unusual to say Why have you done that? or You've done that on
purpose! (present perfect). Much more likely are: Why did you do that?
or You did that on purpose! (past simple).

Do I want to use an expression of unfinished time? If yes, use the
present perfect, otherwise use the past simple.

Present perfect

(The expressions of unfinished time are marked in italics.)

* I have played golf twice this week.
* I haven't seen John today.
* Have you ever been to Korea? (ever can be considered as meaning in
your life)
* I've played golf every week since living in London. (I'm living in
London now)

Past Simple

(By contrast, the following sentences have expressions of finished time.)

* I went to the cinema twice last week
* I didn't see John yesterday.
* Did you go to Korea in 1998?
* I played golf every week when I lived in London. (I don't live in
London now)

Complication 1: Some of the expressions of unfinished time are
ambiguous. For example, both of the following sentences are possible:

* I've had three cups of coffee this morning. (said at 11 o'clock in
the morning)
* I had three cups of coffee this morning. (said at 4 o'clock in the
afternoon of the same day)

Similarly:

* I haven't seen John today. Do you know where he is? (said to a
colleague at the office during working hours)
* I didn't see John today. Do you know where he was? (said to a
colleague on the train on the way home)

Complication 2: Often the reference to finished or unfinished time is
implicit, i.e. it there is no direct expression of time. For example:

* That's good. I've written my report on the train! (said to a
colleague while still sitting in the train.
* Here's my report. I wrote it on the train. (said to your boss
later that day at the office)

* John's given me a lovely scarf for my birthday. (told to your
mother on the telephone on your birthday)
* John gave me a lovely scarf for my birthday. (told to your mother
a few days after your birthday)

Do I want to use one of the following words: just, already, yet, for,
since? If yes, use the present perfect.

Present perfect

* I've just heard that Noriko is going back to Japan next week.
* Have you finished already? You're quick!
* I've been here 6 months already but I haven't learned any German yet.
* We've lived in Germany for twenty years.
* I haven't seen Hi-Jong since last April.

Complication 1: In American English it is acceptable to use the past
simple with some of these words. E.g. I just heard that .. Did you
finish already? I didn't see the new movie yet.

Complication 2: When just means simply it can take the past simple. E.g.
He just got up and left without saying a word.

Complication 3: If the state being described has finished, for can be
used with the past simple. E.g. We lived in France for twenty years
after getting married, then we moved to Germany.

This is a very simplified and selective account of what is involved in
choosing between the present perfect and past simple; the native
speaker's implicit knowledge of when to use the two tenses is far more
detailed. And of course the English learner has more than just the
present perfect and past simple to select from when talking about the
past. Any of the following tenses might be the most appropriate way to
formulate the message he wants to convey:

* I was playing football .. (past continuous)
* I have been playing football ..(present perfect continuous)
* I had played football .. (past perfect)
* I had been playing football .. (past perfect continuous)

The advantages and Disadvantages of Distance Learning

A few years ago, distance learning was seen as an inferior way but nowadays even famous and established traditional colleges and universities are providing distance learning courses and it is generally considered a way to improve one's life.

However, people still argue whether distance learning give more advantage or disadvantage. Some of them who see the benefit of distance learning will say that distance learning needs no commuting. Of course it saves money and time that students would take. Furthermore, distance learning can be done at any student’s convenience. Mostly of the classes of distance learning are asynchronous. It means that students do not have to attend a lecture at a fixed particular time and place. Students can review the assignments and do their homework during off-hours or from home. Additionally, distance learning gives more accessibility. No one can deny it. People with limited mobility may encounter the problem when they take traditional class. With the online class system, the problem is absent.

Despite the many advantages, the other people will see that distance learning is costly and needs complex technology. To attend online learning, student must have a computer with possibly access to the internet. Admitted or not, such technology devices are not always available for common students. Another disadvantage of distance learning is that it does not provide immediate feedback. Unlikely traditional classroom, students have to wait for the feedback and comment until the instructor has review the works and sent response to them. Most of the time students will study alone. Distance learners may feel isolated or miss that social physical interaction that comes with attending a traditional classroom

Regarding the individual’s learning style, some students are able to learn when there is a live interaction between them and the available of accompanying teacher while others don’t really need it. So before deciding a choice of attending distance learning or not, each student needs to do a fair analysis regarding the kind of person he/she is.

A Photo Fish Fun Frame

YOU'LL NEED:

A Styrofoam tray, coloured tissue paper, any photograph, glue stick, and varnish.

1.       Draw the fish on the tray and cut it out. The fish should be a little smaller than the photograph you want to frame.

2.       Cut different-coloured tissue paper into little pieces.

3.       Use a glue stick, glue the pieces of tissue paper to the tray so that they overlap a little.

4.       Cover the fish cut out, which will serve as the frame's stand.

5.       After you have covered the frame and the fish, varnish both.

6.       Let the pieces dry, then glue the fish cut-out to the back and use it to hold up the frame.

7.       Attach the photo to the back of the frame with sellotape. Pretty fishy, isn't it?

Use your imagination : You can cut out any kind of shape to make your frame. Try a star, a sun, or a flower, of make many smaller openings for a multi photo frame.

pak tlong bwatin text recount beserta artinya/terjemahannya!!!!tlong djawab cpt !!!!bsok dkumpulin!!!!!!

Last night our family went to Ball Dome to watch the Kings play the Shooters.

When we got to the stadium, an usher showed us our seats. Just as we sat down the band played the national anthem so we stood.

After the anthem both teams entered the court. As they did, the cheerleaders waved their steamers.

Next, the referee placed his whistle in his mouth and signaled the start of the play. The game was so hot that the supporters of the two teams yelled out their chants every time a player scored the point.

In the end, the Shooters won and our family was happy that both teams had given their best.
