Once upon a time there lived as neighbors, a bear and a rabbit. The rabbit was a good shot and the bear, being very clumsy, could not use the arrow to good advantage.
The bear was very unkind to the rabbit. Every morning, the bear would call over to the rabbit and asked the rabbit to take his bow and arrows and came with the bear to the other side of the hill. The rabbit, fearing to arouse the bear’s anger by refusing, consented to go with the bear and shot enough buffalo to satisfy the hungry family. Indeed, he shot and killed so many that there was lots of meat left after the bear and his family had loaded themselves and packed all they could carry home. However, the poor rabbit could not even taste the blood from the butchering, as the gluttonous bear would throw earth on the blood and dry it up. Poor rabbit would have to go home hunger after his hard day’s work.
The bear was the father of five children. The youngest bear was very kind to the rabbit. The mother bear, knowing that her youngest child was a very hearty eater, always gave him an extra large piece of meat. The baby bear did not eat this extra large piece of meat. Instead, he would take the meat outside and would pretend to play ball with it, kicking it towards the rabbit’s house, and when he got close to the door he would give the meat such a great kick that it would fly into the rabbit’s house. In this way, the poor rabbit would get his meal unknown to the papa bear.

Despite criticism over the National Final Examination policy, schools across the nation still plan to hold the examination this month. The National Final Examination itself has caused a great deal of controversy because it is used as a single criterion for students to graduate from schools. As a prerequisite of graduation, students must cram for math, economics, Bahasa Indonesia and English. In addition, they must have scores above 4,25 for those subjects and have average scores above 4,51 for all other subjects. For some reasons, I personally think that National Final Examination must be ended.
Firstly, the National Final Examination will only encourage schools to give tasks which develop students’ ability to answer typical examination questions. It will only benefit students who are good at exams rather than students who comprehend the subjects better. By doing this, it will not easy to meet the objective of learning, that is to develop students’ cognitive, affective, and psychomotor.
Secondly, the National Final Examination gives an impression that a student will only be considered as a good student if he / she can get good scores in written test. Whereas, there are some other valid methods that can be used to evaluate students’ performance, such as portfolio, pair / group work activity, etc. It will be unfair if the students’ evaluation is solely based on a centralized standard. As a matter of fact, it is teachers who actually have a great role to decide which students pass and which students are not because they know much better about the learning process of their students.
Thirdly, I personally believe that the National Final Examination can only be used for evaluating the education system and to determine its weaknesses. The National Final Examination will not be fair for students in remote areas because they do not have the same level of education quality as schools in the city. The system of National Final Examination will make sharp differences in the number of students passing the National Final Examination in each region.
From the facts above, it is obvious that the National Final Examination is the wrong fit for the national education system. The success of students’ learning cannot be determined solely by one test called the National Final Examination. Therefore, the government should drop the National Final Examination.

Saya bingung yg benar C / D karena paragraf terakhirnya benar – benar membingungkan, karena di akhir kalimatnya ada kata ‘SHOULD’, tapi di awal kalimatnya ada kalimat “it is obvious that the National Final Examination is the wrong fit for the national education system.
Jenis text diatas adalah exposition. Setahu saya apabila text analytical exposition di argument nya menggunakan kata firstly, secondly, etc. dan di akhir paragraphnya reiteration. Sedangkan hortatory exposition di paragrapg terakhirnya berupa rekomendasi seperti text diatas. Generic structure untuk analytical exposition adalah thesis - arguments - reiteration sedangkan untuk hortatory exposition thesis - arguments - recommendation. Dengan melihat option diatas, menurut saya jawabannya c karena untuk paragraph pertamanya thesis. Jnagan bingung lagi ya. Good luck

Two main kinds of engines are used in power stations to drive the generators steam turbines and water turbines. Electric power is sent from a distant power station to our homes. First, it goes to local sub-stations by way of overhead transmission lines. High steel towers, or pylons carry the lines. The substations reduce the voltage of the electricity and send it to where it is needed, either by underground or overhead cables.

Speech production is made possible by the specialized movements of our vocal organs that generate speech sound waves.
Like all sound production, speech production requires a source of energy. The source of energy for speech production is the steady stream of air that come of air that comes from the lungs as we exhale. When we breath normally, the air stream is inaudible. To become audible, the air stream must vibrate rapidly. The vocal cords cause the air stream to vibrate.
As we talk, the vocal cords open and close rapidly, chopping up the steady air stream into a series of puffs. These puffs are heard as a buzz. But this buzz is still not speech.
To produce speech sounds, the vocal tract must change shape. During speech we continually alter the shape of the vocal tract by moving the tongue and lips, etc. these movements change the acoustic properties of the vocal tract, which in turn produce the different sounds of speech.

Do you know what the meaning of corruption is? What is the relation between money and corruption? Well, corruption is common everywhere in the world, even in the United States. It’s just a matter of intensity. However, it is quite shocking when one reliable survey claims Jakarta as the most corrupt place in Indonesia.
The survey has made me sad, actually, because I stay and earn a living here in the capital. As most people know, Tanjung Priok port smuggling is not a new thing at all. Entrepreneurs who want to minimize their tax payments tend to do such a thing more often. They even bribe the officials.
Well, I think the measures taken so far to overcome the problem by punishing the corruptors is still not far enough. We have to prevent the younger generations from getting a bad mentality caused by corruption.

DIVORCE MAY MEAN HAPPIER LIVES FOR THE CHILDREN Divorce changes childhood – but not necessarily for the worse. Many children from broken homes go on establish loving relationships with both their parents. It’s difficult for children to be party to any ongoing dispute between parents. One child spoke of the “Bermuda Triangle” – the mythical space between the homes of her parents into which socks and schoolbooks, games kit and pencil sharpeners always seemed to disappear. Another child complained bitterly that one mother refuse to let her on the weekends she spent with her dad. They hated being told secrets and carrying messages to and from between their parents. Worrying about how the kids will be affected by divorce often leads parents into crooked thinking. What matters is overcoming and dealing with those difficulties. In life WE are always going to face difficulties and that WE should never have problems is not a good way at looking at childhood. Rather than wringing their hands about the harmful effects of splitting up, parents can be positive and look at strategies for dealing with problems that might arise. As a proof, a lot of parents that we interviewed stayed together longer than they should have done though they were so worried about the effect of divorce on their time thinking that any kind of adolescent rebellion was because of the divorce. What we are saying is that young people can strive under these circumstances and that it’s the quality of the relationships that matter.
