Tidak langsung ke rumus tensesnya. Hal itu sangat penting karena pola pikir anak kita masih dipengaruhi oleh konsep bahasa Indonesia dimana tidak ada perubahan tenses sehingga perlu difasilitasi dengan ilustrasi atau cerita untuk membantu menanamkan konsep masing-masing tenses dalam bahasa Inggris. Setelah itu siswa diajak untuk menganalisa rumus tenses yang ada di dalam cerita atau ilustrasi tadi. Langkah selanjutnya diberikan contoh text/paragraf sejenis dan siswa disuruh mengidentifikasi teks tersebut. Untuk reinforcement activity diberikan latihan-latihan yang sesuai.
