My Unforgettable moment
One day, when I still in the 5th grade of elementary school, my teacher ask me to join the “Story telling contest” in SMPN 1 Ciamis. But, I think I couldn’t join that contest. I repeatedly ask my self, can I tell the story in English? After I think for several times, it’s not too bad. Although, eventually I couldn’t be a winner but I will have an experience for the future.
I opportunity feel inferior, when I sawed my other friends have master theirs story. And I even try too for master my stories. Finally, the competition day has come. I also competed with the other contestant from the other school. It’s my first competition that I ever have. I never expected, I can be a winner in this competition. I’m so happy when the master of ceremony calls my name and invites me to enter the parade. Hmmmmpp... I think all of this is my unforgettable moment.

Do you realize the changing of climate? Don’t you know that weather is getting warmer nowadays? This trend is called global warming. Global warming is the changing of climate. Temperatures vary day to day and year to year. What causes global warming?
Sunlight brings energy to the earth. This light turns to heat when it hits the ground. The heat in turn seeps away from the earth, but the atmosphere slows the heat’s escape. The atmosphere is a layer of air around the planet. It holds in some of the warm.
The atmosphere is a mixture of many gases. In the last 250 years, this mixture has been changing. The amounts of gases such as methane and carbon dioxide have been rising. These gases trap heat more effectively than other gases. They make the earth’s atmosphere act like the glass in a greenhouse. It lets sunlight in, but I doesn’t let heat out. As a result, heat is building up close to the surface.
Global warming is moving at a faster rate, in spite of our efforts to deal it.

Once upon time, a man had a wonderful parrot. There was no other parrot like it. The parrot could say every word, except one word. The parrot would not say the name of the place where it was born. The name of the place was Catano.
The man felt excited having the smartest parrot but he could not understand why the parrot would not say Catano. The man tried to teach the bird to say Catano however the bird kept not saying the word.
At the first, the man was very nice to the bird but then he got very angry. “You stupid bird!” pointed the man to the parrot. “Why can\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t you say the word? Say Catano! Or I will kill you” the man said angrily. Although he tried hard to teach, the parrot would not say it. Then the man got so angry and shouted to the bird over and over; “Say Catano or I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'ll kill you”. The bird kept not to say the word of Catano.
One day, after he had been trying so many times to make the bird say Catano, the man really got very angry. He could not bear it. He picked the parrot and threw it into the chicken house. There were four old chickens for next dinner “You are as stupid as the chickens. Just stay with them” Said the man angrily. Then he continued to humble; “You know, I will cut the chicken for my meal. Next it will be your turn, I will eat you too, stupid parrot”. After that he left the chicken house.
The next day, the man came back to the chicken house. He opened the door and was very surprised. He could not believe what he saw at the chicken house. There were three death chickens on the floor. At the moment, the parrot was standing proudly and screaming at the last old chicken; “Say Catano or I’ll kill you”.1. Main idea of paragraph 2 apa??

Global warming is the changing of climate. Temperatures vary from day to day and year to year. Global warming is very dangerous. Why is it so?
Global warming melts the ice at the poles. This would then cover all the flat coastal lands. People would have less land on which to live or grow food.
Plants and animals are adapted to their climates. If the climate changes rapidly, many may not be able to adapt. Some species will simply die out. Others may spread to cooler climates. They will be struggling with species already in place.
So what can we do to save the planet? People should stop cutting down forest and burning the wood. There must be a clear regulation of the use of cars and other machines to decrease the amount of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere. Otherwise the earth and all the entirely life will vanish.

Sometimes when I pass some certain places in Jakarta, I often see piles of trash by the side of the street or even by the river. This view is annoying. It makes our city look ugly and very dirty. If we walk near the pile of trash, we could smell stinky odors coming from it.
Piles of trash, they bring the bacteria with them. Isn’t that very dangerous to our health if flies land on our food?
However, many people live around this mountain – like heap of trash. Many children play nearby. Also, a lot of women wash clothes and fruits and vegetables in the river that is contaminated by trash. This is terrible.
I think they don’t realize the danger, because they don’t have knowledge about living healthy. In my opinion, the government must make a regulation that people are not allowed to build houses near the trash disposal (dump site).
The government must protect their citizens, right?
Maybe there should be special officers, like police officers, who watch and catch people who throw trash on the ground or into the river.
The government should be harder, because trash has become a big, big problem for our city.
If a big fine doesn’t make people stop dropping litter everywhere, put them in jail.
I think to keep our environment clean and tidy needs hard work from both the citizens and the government.

In olden times, many people who worked as brick makers were slaves or servants. If the master brick maker needed extra help, he could always bail someone out of jail and force them to work without any wages. They received one meal a day, and it was usually corn meal and bread.
Many events would happen during this brick making “business”. Now let me tell you the process. The first step of brick making process is to gather clay and mix it up by stepping in it. This is rather a very disgusting view.
Once the clay is clean enough, it is formed into bricks. The brick maker will roll it and then put it in a mold. The mold gives the brick its shape. Sometimes in the middle of the brick making process, the bricks are taken to the area where the bricks will be dried in the sun until they are hard enough to handle.
Afterward the bricks are piled up in the brickyard. The brickyard is the place where bricks are placed for the last time until it is time for them to go into the kiln.
The kiln is the final destination for the bricks. This is when and where the bricks will get baked.
Brick making is an important industry in many parts of the world. It is an activity that can take place in many forms, in large modern factories to small rural businesses. Although the process is simple, many techniques involved in the brick making process are subject to error, possibly reducing the quality of bricks.
